Satellite Count & Altitude
DSM leverages over 8,000 active LEO satellites at ~550km altitude, with future expansion up to 42,000 total across multiple orbital shells. The low altitude means 25ms latency vs 600ms for geostationary.
Inter-satellite Technology
Laser inter-satellite links enable data routing without requiring ground stations at every hop. Operates on Ku/Ka-band frequencies with two-way connectivity managed end-to-end by DSM's operations center.
Roadmap & Innovations
Direct-to-cell service in beta (2025). Gen-3 satellite integration in DSM's roadmap (2026) for higher per-beam capacity, targeting zero blackout SLAs for banking transaction processing.
